Be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1: 3, 5-9

Why claim small things? Why go after small victories? You’ve only got one life to live; do you really want to live it in a subpar, barely scraping by, don’t want to ruffle any feathers, I’m too scared to fail kind of way?

Naked you came into this world but you need to plan on leaving this world absolutely loaded with unspeakable spiritual jewels, trophies, rewards, riches, and recompense in heaven because of how you lived for God and served Him on earth.

One thing that really scares me is the thought of getting to my mansion in heaven and finding a room called ‘Unclaimed Possessions’ which is filled with all these great things that I had access to. I don’t want to see all the power I could have used, all the promises I failed to claim, all the victories I failed to gain, and all the underutilized riches that Jesus died on the cross for me to experience right now that have collected dust because I failed to pull them out.

Your Simple Strategy for Ultimate Success

Joshua laid out the master plan or blueprint to success that we’ve implemented into our lives and is proving to serve us very well. If you’re not using this powerful yet simple plan to build the successful life, business, and/or ministry God has called you to then you need to get in on this right now!

Success Strategy #1

Make God your number one Partner and CEO! Jesus died and rose again so that you and I can be joint-heirs with Jesus in everything. We lack nothing in Christ and we’re unspeakably rich. Therefore we should never be satisfied with lack, less, poverty, or defeat. God wants to bless you and get the glory from the success of your business and/or ministry, your finances, your health, your relationships, and everything else. So make Him the Captain of your whole life, heart, mind, and soul. Joshua 1: 7-8 tells us the number one way to truly making God the ‘Joint Venture Partner’ He wants to be in your life. He tells us to observe the Word, meditate on, talk about it, live and breathe it. Then it will penetrate our heart, soul, and mind so that it can then direct our thoughts, build our vision, give us wisdom and discernment in all our dealings, and even help us develop the habits of the highly successful.

The late, Napoleon Hill studied the lives of the richest men of his day and after decades of research he named his legendary book “Think and Grow Rich.” How rich is God? What great thoughts does He think? And the Word tells us that we have the ‘mind of Christ!’ We actually have God living inside of us seeking to help us live a life that reflects the mind and thoughts and purposes and powers of Christ.

Success Strategy #2

Trust in Him completely! You must hold on to the promises He made to you. (Joshua 1: 9) He exhorts us over and over again to be strong and courageous knowing that we will inevitably be tempted to throw in the white towel of defeat when met with difficulties that drag us too far out of our comfort zone. So He says to be strong and courageous and not to be afraid and weak because He is with us wherever we go.

He said this but the problem is that most of us struggle to believe it when the bills are coming past due and the business hasn’t picked up. It’s hard to believe when you’ve invested all you have including your time, money, creativity, passion, and everything else into building a business or ministry and it still fails to grow as fast as you want it to. So now you’re supporting and feeding the vision while the vision is sucking you dry, driving you into debt and depression. God knew that’s exactly what Joshua would face because all successful people have had to face their fears. If you read the biographies of some of the richest, most powerful, most successful entrepreneurs it’s so funny to find out how many of them went bankrupt on the road to their financial breakthrough.

No matter how hard it gets and how afraid you get, do it afraid! You may feel like you’re all alone in a world that won’t give back to you what you’re putting in but remember that He’s with you and He’s setting you up for a breakthrough. Always trust Him and seek Him through prayer, studying the word, reading good books like this one, sharing with others you’ve been there and done that, taking care of your emotions, being goo to your body, and cultivating a well-rounded and victorious lifestyle.

Success Strategy #3

Never stop growing and expanding! God said, “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.” What more, the Father told His Son Jesus that he has all power and authority in heaven and in the earth and we’re joint-heirs with Jesus! So why would any one of us fail to do those ‘greater things than these’ Jesus said we would be able to do because He was going to His Father? That promise penetrated my heart when I first read it and if you let it penetrate yours you will look up with the eyes of your heart and see a land flowing with milk and honey and endless possibilities for you! Never give up on what you know in your heart is your land because God’s already given it to you; it’s supposed to be yours, it’s always been yours and it always will be.

There were moments where I could feel nothing but shame and humiliation and I even experienced thoughts of suicide.  This was especially challenging given my message, book and my commitment to JOY.  Somehow through all the pain and in the midst of everything I was going through; I knew this “brokenness” experience was for a God-given purpose that would impact lives.

I decided to take a 21- day Journey to Intimacy with the Almighty.  During this time I was in the greatest need of my life and I refused to pray for my needs, I just sought his face and prayed for instruction.  The experience was powerful.  It was during this time that God spoke instruction to me that changed me and challenged me forever.  He instructed me that it was time for the message: “Preparing for the Wealth Transfer”.   During this time I actually began to also discover wealth in places I would have never imagined.  My personal financial situation began to improve dramatically.

The word of God began to unfold before me and I began to understand my experiences in a new light.  I have always delighted in being a “giver”; but it was during my personal financial crisis that I began to experience a renewed compassion for those who were suffering.   I began to really understand the importance of generosity.

Poverty and suffering are a complex issue that will always be there, and none of us alone can solve the issue.  However, I began to realize the importance of simply having a heart and attitude to be a blessing to people in need. All of these experiences were preparing me to speak a message to simply declare that money has a mission: and it is crying out to be in the hands of the righteous.
